🛠️ Front + Rear Installation in Mercedes E-Class
We carried out a complete front and rear camera installation in the Mercedes E-Class with full OEM-level integration.
The front cam was mounted neatly behind the rearview mirror to avoid obstructing the driver’s view.
The rear cam was fixed discreetly along the top edge of the rear window, seamlessly blending into the interior.
All wires were routed under trim and panels, keeping everything invisible. The power was hardwired to the fuse box using the supplied ACC cable, allowing for proper parking mode operation and battery protection.
🅿️ What Is Parking Mode and How Does It Work?
Parking mode enables the dash cam to record incidents even when the ignition is off. Once parked, the FineVu GX4K switches automatically into standby and monitors the surroundings via shock and motion detection.
There are two operating modes:
🟢 Motion + Impact: captures events with movement or vibration (front & rear)
🌙 Low Power Mode: energy-saving time-lapse recording (2 fps), ideal for overnight parking
Thanks to buffered recording, you’ll also see what happened before and after each event (10 seconds both ways). The camera also features overheat protection – instead of shutting down on hot days, it switches to standby while still recording events.
