Dash Cam Installation – Navitel RS990 Front & Rear with Parking Mode in Volvo XC60
In our latest project, we had the pleasure of installing a complete Navitel RS990 GPS dash cam system in a modern Volvo XC60. This technologically advanced vehicle deserves equally advanced protection – both on the road and while parked. That’s why we chose one of Navitel’s top-tier models, featuring parking mode and two cameras: front and rear.

Professional installation in the Volvo XC60
The system was installed with great attention to detail and aesthetics:
➡️ The front camera was discreetly mounted behind the rearview mirror, nearly invisible from outside the vehicle.
➡️ The rear camera was integrated at the top edge of the rear window, with wiring routed through factory grommets.
➡️ The dash cam was hardwired using a power adapter with voltage control, ensuring the parking mode works even when the ignition is off – without draining the car battery.
How does parking mode work?
The RS990’s parking mode automatically activates recording when it detects motion or impact (e.g., being hit while parked). The camera enters standby mode and begins recording when needed – offering real protection when you’re away from the car. It can provide key footage in case of scratches, collisions, or break-in attempts.
