BMW X5 E70 – Android Xtrons head unit installation + reversing camera

In this project, we upgraded the BMW X5 E70 with a dedicated Android Xtrons head unit and a reversing camera. This setup provides the driver with access to online navigation, multimedia, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and safe parking assistance with a live rear-view image.

What we did:

• ✅ Installed a dedicated Android Xtrons unit to replace the factory system.
• ✅ Full integration with car audio and steering wheel controls.
• ✅ Installed a reversing camera – the image is automatically displayed when reverse gear is engaged.
