Alfa Romeo Giulia – ESB 4000 Quattromila car audio, Zapco HB 810 II 8AD and front door soundproofing

This red Alfa Romeo Giulia arrived at Sound Audio System for a complete audio system upgrade. The scope of work included the installation of ESB 4000 Series / Quattromila speakers, a Zapco HB 810 II 8AD DSP amplifier and professional front door soundproofing.

The goal of this project was to create a system that performs much better than the factory audio setup: more dynamic, cleaner, with a better soundstage and stronger control over the midrange and lower frequencies. In this type of installation, simply replacing the speakers is not enough. Proper door preparation, solid component mounting, correct wiring and DSP tuning are essential.

Thanks to this approach, the car audio system in this Alfa Romeo Giulia can play with precision, naturalness and without uncontrolled resonances that often limit the performance of even very good speakers.

ESB 4000 Quattromila – tweeters and woofers for demanding car audio

The ESB 4000 Quattromila series is an excellent choice for a car where sound culture, detail and precise soundstage are important. In this Alfa Romeo Giulia, we installed ESB Audio 4.28 tweeters and ESB Audio 4.165 woofers, responsible for clean high frequencies, natural vocals and a solid midrange foundation.

This combination provides more natural vocals, better instrument separation and a fuller sound compared to the factory audio system. It is a solution for drivers who want to enjoy music with more detail, control and balance, without harshness, chaos or the flat sound typical of many standard installations.

Zapco HB 810 II 8AD – DSP processor with 8-channel amplifier

The heart of the installation is the Zapco HB 810 II 8AD, a 10-channel DSP processor with an 8-channel amplifier. This device not only powers the speakers but also allows the entire audio system to be tuned precisely for the specific interior of the car.

DSP tuning makes it possible to adjust time alignment, output levels, equalization and balance between individual speakers. In practice, this means a better soundstage, more controlled bass, cleaner midrange and a much more enjoyable listening experience while driving.

In professional car audio projects, the DSP processor is one of the most important parts of the entire system. It allows good speakers to show their full potential and helps adapt the sound to the acoustics of the cabin.

Front door soundproofing – the foundation of good sound

The front doors in a car act as the working chamber for the woofer. If the door metal is prone to vibration, leaks and resonance, even a very good speaker will not perform as it should. That is why we carried out precise car soundproofing in this Alfa Romeo, focusing on the front doors.

The inner door panel was treated with BM 2.3S Pro butyl damping mats, which stiffen the metal and reduce resonances. Acoustic foam was also used to improve the operation of the door trim and reduce unwanted noises from the door panels.
