Dacia Duster – FineVu GX-1100 4K Front and Rear Dash Cam Installation with Parking Mode

In this Dacia Duster, we carried out a professional installation of the FineVu GX-1100 4K front and rear dash cam system. The recorder was hardwired to the vehicle to enable Parking Mode, allowing the car to be monitored both while driving and after the ignition has been switched off.

During the installation, we focused on discreet camera positioning, safe cable routing and preserving the original appearance of the vehicle interior. All wiring was concealed behind the factory trim panels.

FineVu GX-1100 4K front and rear dash cam system

The FineVu GX-1100 4K is a two-channel dash cam system designed to record the area in front of and behind the vehicle. The front camera captures the road ahead, while the rear camera monitors traffic and incidents behind the car.

Using two cameras provides wider protection than a single front-facing recorder. Footage from both directions can help document collisions, dangerous manoeuvres and damage that occurs while the vehicle is parked.

The FineVu front camera was installed at the top of the windscreen near the rear-view mirror. This position provides a clear view of the road while keeping the device outside the driver’s main field of vision.

The power cable was concealed behind the headliner and routed along the original interior trim. During the installation, particular attention was paid to the location of the curtain airbags and other safety components.

The position of the front camera is important for both recording quality and driving comfort. The device should be mounted as high as possible without obstructing visibility or interfering with sensors and other equipment located around the mirror.

In this Dacia Duster, the camera was installed neatly and discreetly. The wiring remains hidden and the vehicle interior retains its original, factory-style appearance.

The rear camera was mounted on the rear window of the Dacia Duster. Its position was selected to ensure that the lens records the area directly behind the vehicle without unnecessary obstruction.

The cable connecting the front and rear cameras was routed behind the original interior trim panels. We also ensured that the wiring in the tailgate area would not interfere with opening and closing the boot.

Parking Mode in the Dacia Duster

The FineVu GX-1100 4K system was connected to the vehicle’s electrical system to enable Parking Mode operation. After the ignition is switched off, the recorder can continue monitoring the surroundings and protect recordings associated with incidents that occur while the car is parked.

Parking Mode is particularly useful in residential car parks, shopping centres, garages and other locations where the vehicle may remain unattended. Correct hardwire installation also removes the need for a visible power cable connected to the cigarette lighter socket.
