Honda HR-V – FineVu GX-4K Front and Rear Dash Cam Installation with Parking Mode
In this Honda HR-V, we completed a professional installation of the FineVu GX-4K front and rear dash cam system. The recorder was hardwired to the vehicle to enable Parking Mode after the ignition is switched off.
We focused on discreet camera positioning, correct lens alignment and fully concealed wiring. After the installation, the complete system was configured and thoroughly tested.
FineVu GX-4K front and rear dash cam system
The FineVu GX-4K is designed to record the area in front of and behind the vehicle. The front camera monitors the road ahead, while the rear camera captures events behind the car.
A dual-channel system provides wider protection than a single front camera. Recordings may help document a collision, dangerous manoeuvre, rear impact or damage that occurs while the vehicle is parked.
Front dash cam installation in the Honda HR-V
The front camera was mounted high on the windscreen. This position provides a clear view of the road while keeping the recorder outside the driver’s main field of vision.
The power cable was concealed behind the headliner and original interior trim. Particular attention was paid to safe cable routing near the curtain airbags and other safety components.
FineVu rear camera installation
The rear camera was installed at the top of the Honda HR-V rear window. Its viewing angle was adjusted to capture a wide area directly behind the vehicle.
The cable connecting both cameras was routed behind the original interior trim. No loose or visible wiring remains inside the vehicle.
Parking Mode in the Honda HR-V
The dash cam was hardwired to support Parking Mode operation after the ignition is switched off. The system can continue monitoring the vehicle and protect recordings associated with incidents during parking.
Parking surveillance is useful in residential car parks, shopping centres, garages and other locations where the vehicle may remain unattended.
